The Brief

Our brief was too restore, add period features and rebuild this North London Edwardian red brick family home. Using reclaimed materials and upcycling into bespoke designed furniture, our goal was to create a thoroughly industrial rough luxe theme, mixed with various mid century modern touches.

The Project

The Woodlands Project required us to plan and manage structural modification to the property, including the building of a new basement, rear extension, a 2 storey corner extension and a new loft conversion/extension. Once structurally complete, the interior design and bespoke styling began.

The Home

This was a huge project, which saw us working closely with a team of professionals and tradesmen. We custom designed and manufactured all the joinery and various bespoke (and upcycled) furniture; some of which are available to order. Other specialists were brought in who helped achieve the very specific finishes around the house.

The Brief

Mad Cow responded to our client’s SOS when their 4 bed house in North London was halfway through a loft conversion and full refurbishment and they were under pressure from their contractors to get their finishes in. Although the client had little time, they still had an artistic sense of what they liked. They just needed more ideas, help to edit the ideas they already had and support to speed up the whole process.

The Project

We helped to source, select and order finishes from paint colours, wallpapers and tiles quickly – through to furnishings such as vintage furniture and lighting, curtains and upholstery fabrics, carpets, rugs, cushions, throws. And finally when they were ready, we called in our art hangers to put up their fantastic art collection.

The Home

We had a lot of fun, a lot of communication and very little headaches considering they stayed in the house throughout the whole project! The end result is an artful family home, full of character and warmth.
